A Smart New Year's Resolution

Instead of joining another gym only to quit by March, break the cycle this year by getting an image of your brain health with qEEG Brain Mapping and learning to exercise correctly with proper neuromuscular technique.

Most people for their New Year’s resolution join a gym, start working out again, and adopt some kind of trendy diet. I suggest a better approach, besides, how many times have you done this already and gone right back to your comfortable life by March?

This year, break that cycle by getting an image of your brain health. Quantitative Electroencephalogram (qEEG) Brain Mapping is a noninvasive way to look at your brain function. A 31-receptor cap is put on your head, which picks up the brainwaves admitted through your skull. It does not transmit or produce any electricity. It only reads what the brain is putting out.

Understanding qEEG Brain Mapping

A qEEG is a functional way to see how your brain is actually working. Unlike MRIs, Brain Mapping can more easily detect ADD/ADHD, Autism, Depression, PTSD, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Sleep Disorders, Seizures, and Dementia. MRIs are essentially a photo of the structures of the brain, which is ideal for locating and measuring the size of already damaged tissue but not for showing the dysfunction or prevention of many diseases. The preventative qEEG scan can give a baseline into our health that we are usually unaware of. If you haven’t already been brain scanned, don’t wait until some awful health event to wind up seeing it on an MRI when you can do something about it now.

Learn to Exercise Correctly and Safely

The second thing to do for the New Year’s resolution is to learn to exercise correctly and safely. Instead of joining a franchised gym or boot camp style program, get educated on how your brain controls your body through detailed muscle movements. Most people stop working out due to injuries, lack of knowledge, or embarrassment. Trust me, corporate gyms are very aware of this low attendance rate.

Muscle movements are intricately controlled by the Brain, Spinal Cord, Muscles, and Nerves. For example, to bench press safely for maximum results, one must engage or squeeze the shoulder blades down and together while the arms push away from the torso. This technique allows the nerves to fire faster to the chest for maximum contraction instead of tearing or recruiting muscles that should not be part of this exercise. Another tip is to suck in your stomach when using the leg extension machine for quadriceps. It engages the core stomach muscles, speeding up the nerves to the legs, to prevent knee injuries.

The Neurogym Approach

Small group training focused on brain-controlled muscle movements offers an experienced approach to exercise. With over 35 years of weightlifting experience and extensive education involving the Brain, Nerves, Muscles, and Bones, proper neurological training teaches basic, intermediate, and advanced 30-minute workouts. This knowledge is the first step you will need to exercise anywhere without injury.

Take Control of Your Health

It is time to put your health into your own hands! This year, make a resolution that actually sticks by understanding how your brain works and learning to train your body the way it was designed to move.
